Network Device Support: Network Security Analyzer (NSA) provides advanced SIEM across all network devices that have an impact on an organisation’s security framework. NSA scales easily from a single firewall device to a distributed enterprise-wide security infrastructure. Supports network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, UTM, IDS/IPS, SSL/VPN, proxy, antivirus, antispam and more from leading vendors including Cisco, Checkpoint, ISS, Juniper, Fortinet, Secure Computing and Bluecoat.
Network Device and Host support: Enterprise Security Analyzer (ESA) supports the same network devices as NSA and hosts including Windows, Unix and Linux from leading vendors including Microsoft, HP, Sun, IBM, RedHat and SuSe. ESA collects, archives and correlates event and system data from a variety of heterogeneous, multi-vendor network devices as well as Windows, Linux and Unix systems. There are 5 primary modules in ESA:

Topology & Threat Visualization - quickly assess the overall security posture of the network by visually mapping the security threats and events on the network topology.
Monitoring & Correlated Alerting - Using the real-time monitoring, business impact analysis and correlated alerting, allows quick and easy insight into hacker and virus activity.
Reporting - concise, comprehensive and easy to read security and activity reports via a reporting portal.
Forensics - the ability to search through hundreds of GBs of current and historical log data for ad-hoc audit verification or 'vector' an attack.
Log Management – scalable and cost effective centralized log management that can collect, normalize, aggregate, compress and encrypt log data from disparate sources to identify security breaches, hacker, intrusion and virus activity.

ESA vs NSA: ESA supports reporting, performance monitoring and asset management for hosts as well as servers, has more advanced rule based alerts and has more than double the 400 reports provided by NSA.
